About
Who We Are
This project is an applied research initiative focused on the responsible use of advanced analytics in homelessness services. We examine how decision support systems can be designed to strengthen professional judgment, preserve data control at the local level, and operate securely within real-world service environments.
Our Philosophy
The work is grounded in social work practice and public-sector accountability. Rather than pursuing automation for its own sake, the framework prioritizes constrained and transparent analytics. The approach brings the model to the data, not the data to the model, supporting human decision-making in contexts where ethical responsibility cannot be delegated.
Research Foundation
Developed as part of doctoral research, this initiative brings together learning science, data governance, and system design. It explores how agencies can use high-performance analytical tools without compromising equity, trust, or privacy. The focus is not on replacing practitioners, but on creating systems that are defensible, auditable, and aligned with the complexities of frontline work..
